Kirsten Bertelsen (1966) lives and works in Denmark and Norway. In her practice, spanning art production and curation, she explores the life art can have outside the established art institutions. She is interested in the paradigme shift in art making from modernism to postmodern ways of understanding an art work. What can it be? Where can it be? Her practice often unfolds in places where art is rarely seen. Kirsten holds an Mfa in Psychology from University of Copenhagen and a Bfa from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London.
